It’s one of the aspects of photography that really interested me. The opportunity to capture the atmosphere of the crowd and emotion of a person is truly amazing. Luckily for me, I got that opportunity today as I went to the ‘Japanese Day’ festival at ASB showgrounds.
Initially it felt kind of stalky, but after convincing myself that this is for the greater good of photography, I man’d myself up and started shooting everything interesting that I saw.
I found that children and old people were generally more interesting to shoot. The raw, natural expressions that a child makes is really remarkable. Similarly, being able to capture the wrinkles of an old person turns the photo into a history book; with each wrinkle telling a story of its own.
However, after 120+ photos, there’s only a few that I really felt obliged to share. Here are my first 2.
Will add more later.
